He also follows their efforts as they excavate forgotten burial sites. They talk about their plans to explore more abandoned parts of America in search of the truth. The Kindest of Men Survive – Anderson Cooper studies how dogs diverged from wolves and acquired what a geneticist calls a “friendly mutation” and documents the link between canine and human evolution contact. The same genes that are deleted in some people with Williams syndrome also contain these mutations. Denise Schrier Cetta is a producer.

COMPARATIVE ONCOLOGY – According to Anderson Cooper, some of the most exciting genetic studies in humans and dogs have to do with cancer. Scientists, medical professionals, and veterinary professionals collaborate to research and treat cancers that are similar in people and pet dogs in the emerging field of comparative oncology.
